Creating Wi-Fi Management rule creates an exception error

Situation

After creating a Wi-Fi Management rule in the ESM Management Console and an attempt is made to save the policy the following error is displayed.
 
"An exception has occured in the application.  The exception has been logged to your application event log.  Please note your actions leading to this exception for support purposes."
 

Resolution

1.  Go to C:\Program Files\Novell\ESM Management Console\PolicyEditor.exe.config and open it with notepad.
 
2.  Add the following line in the appsetting section of the config file
 
<add key="ShowAdvancedWifi" value="false"/>
 
 
3.  Save the file, close and open the ESM Management Console.
