Situation
When trying to add a Kyocera printer drive using the From File option on a Microsoft Vista workstation, an error is returned. The error is:
Error Message: {No paging File Specified}
No Paging File was Specified in the system configuration
Error Group: Windows
Error Code: 578
A paging file had been configured. The driver couldn't be uploaded via the From System option as the printer driver didn't exist in the system.
Resolution
This has been reported to engineering.
As a workaround, the driver(s) can be added to the Vista local driver store. Once they are added to the driver store, they can then be uploaded to iPrint via the From System option. To add the driver(s) to the local drivers store:
- create a directory on the local machine
- copy the desired drivers into this directory
- at a command prompt type pnputil.exe -a <path to the local dir>\*.inf
