Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2)
Situation
Error during installation of OES2: "The product on the media
is already installed or selected for installation."
Resolution
The error occurs because the OES2 media has already been added as
an available software catalog/installation source. Click OK
to continue on, then change the Filter from "Search" to
"Patterns". The available OES2 patterns will then be
visible.
Alternatively, remove the OES2 software catalog entry under Yast> Software > Installation source.
If this is an attempt to add an additional product after a successful OES2 installation then the appropriate interface is not the Yast > Software > Add on product method but rather the Yast > Open Enterprise Server > OES Install and Configuration method.
