Novell Client for Vista 1.0.0
Situation
Running old NetWare applications such as MAP.EXE results in errors, such as the following:
PTF-905: This utility was unable to initialize the country information.
This utility is not supported on Personal NetWare servers.
Use the Personal Netware utilities.
You are not attached to Directory Services.
There are no current NetWare 4 connections.

Resolution
The utilities that return these errors are 16-bit applications, and
16-bit support is completely absent in the Novell Client for Windows
Vista. This is documented in the Novell Client for Windows Vista

The following Novell Client for Windows XP/2003 features are not included in the Novell Client for Windows Vista:

Note that 16-bit application support is completely missing from Windows Vista x64, but is still present in Windows Vista x86. But the Novell Client doesn't attempt to support 16-bit Novell applications on either Vista x64 or Vista x86.
If the command line utility MAP.EXE is needed (in a batch file, for example), NET.EXE USE can be used as a substitute.
