Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management
Situation
Applied 10.0.2, about the same time Asset Management Eval license expired.
Reproduced once on a test Windows server.
Symptom did not happen on Linux servers.
License Checking in theLOADER-MESSAGES.LOG: [Loader.Download and Apply Update Handler] [Licensing: true/true/false] [Licensing: true/true/false]' stopped.
Inventory for existing machines (before Asset Management Eval license expired) is still viewable.
Inventory is not viewable for new machines introduced to the ZCM after the Asset Management license expired.

Resolution
Applied 10.0.3 and Inventory became viewable for new machines too.
Additional Information
This could not be reproduced at Novell (by moving the date of the server out past the Asset Management expiration date).
