Novell eDirectory 8.8 for Linux
Situation
Authenticating using LDAP doesn't update the Network Address, Last
Login Time, Intruder Lockout attempts and Login Time attributes by
default on eDirectory 8.8.3. Other authenication methods also do not update these values.
Resolution
Enable the Login Settings using in iMonitor and follow the steps
below.
1) Login to iMonitor as an administrative user.
2) Select Agent Configuration and click on Login Settings.
3) Check the Login Update Enabled check box and enter a value between 1 and 5 seconds for the Login Delay.
4) Click on Submit for change to take effect.

Additional Information
There was a bug in iMonitor in eDirectory 8.8.3 (fixed in FTF3) and
eDirectory 8.8.4 (fixed in FTF1) that would disable the "Login
Update Enable" field when any other settings were modified in
iMonitor, such as the database cache settings, for example.
At least one customer reported that the upgrade from eDirectory
8.8.4 to 8.8.5 in a cluster environment also disabled this
field. The fix is as listed above, to just go back with
iMonitor and re-enable the check box.
