Environment
Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management
Situation
Bundles assigned to a user or a user group are not launched or distributed for some schedule types, like User Login.
Bundles assigned to a workstation are lunched and distributed.
Does not fail for every application associated to Users.
Does not fail for every application associated to Users.
Resolution
Workaround is to use an Association that works for the affected application.
One potential solution ( unverified at Novell ): add a second user source (ADS) and removed that immediately. After that, both primary content servers were rebooted. Since then it worked for the time tested.
Status
Reported to EngineeringAdditional Information
Two new trigger events need to be added to the ZCM Schedules to provide more options for successful deployments for all applications:
1) On ZENworks Startup (i.e. when the NAL starts).
2) On "Desktop is Active".
An event is required that applications will be launched after the users bundle management components are initialized. Currently this isn't always the case after User Login.
