Novell Audit plugin for iManager 2.7 fails: System Error

Situation

Error: System Error when selecting 'query options'

It is possible to generate a "System Error" when selecting query options if the following components are installed (in the order listed)

1. Workstation iManager 2.7 (mobile)
2. Novell Audit 2.02 plug-in for iManager 2.7
3. Novell IDM plug-in for iManager 2.7


Resolution

Workaround:
  1. Uninstall the Novell Audit plug-in.

a. Click on the “Configure” button in iManager

b. Expand Plug-in Installation

c. Click on “Installed Novell Plug-in Modules”

d. Place a check next to the “Novell Audit” line and click Uninstall

e. Wait for the process to finish, and close iManager when prompted to re-start tomcat

  1. Verify the Novell Audit plug-in has been removed.

a. After authenticating to iManager, look for an “Auditing and Logging” role. If this role still exists, close iManager and follow the steps outlined in Novell Support TID# 10096957

  1. Re-install the Novell Audit plug-in

a. Click on the “Configure” button in iManager

b. Expand Plug-in Installation

c. Click on “Available Novell Plug-in Modules”

d. Put a check in the box next to “Novell Audit” and click Install
