Situation

LDIF import with ice is failing with error "LBURP Operation failed: 80( NDS error: No additional informational available( -6028))"

Resolution

By default, the maximum file size on the AIX platform is 2GB. Because of this, an LDIF import with ice will fail if ldif file exceeds 2 GB.

This limitation applies to all Unix/Linux platforms.

To check the maximum file size on Linux, AIX, Solaris and HP-UX, use the following command:

ulimit -f
