Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Situation
Bundles do not show up in ZENworks Application Window
User does not appear to be authenticated to user source
User does not appear to be authenticated to user source
Resolution
Make sure HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GinaDLL is nwgina.dll
When the ZENworks 10 agent is installed to a Windows XP workstation that has never had the ZENworks agent or the Novell Client installed, the registry key listed above is changed from msgina.dll to nwgina.dll. The ZENworks 10 agent must use nwgina.dll in order to function properly.
Some software applications can change nwgina.dll to msgina.dll and cause authentication to the user source in ZCM to fail, as well as bundles associated to users to fail to display. Some authentication implementations also require msgina.dll to be present in the registry key above, which will cause authentication and bundle display to fail as well.
