Situation

Error: Unable to bind to eDirectory through LDAP
eDirectory installation fails on OES
During the installation of OES the eDirectory configuration will fail with the following error if there is a period or a parenthesis in the password.




Resolution

This issue is resolved with the installation media for Novell Open Enterprise Server SP2 (OES1SP2) on Linux.
