Caching mailbox connects to the wrong IP Address

Environment

Products:
Novell GroupWise 7
Novell GroupWise 32 bit Client

Situation

Symptoms:
Caching mailbox connects to the wrong IP Address
User can't synchronize caching mailbox with online mailbox
User can't synchronize caching mailbox despite having the correct IP address specified in the Caching Mailbox Account Options

Resolution

Corrective Actions:
1. Login into Online Mailbox
2. Click Tools and select "Hit The Road"
3. Specify the online Mailbox password
4. Specify the path to the actual Caching Mailbox when prompted for Remote Mailbox Directory path
5. Select Items, rules, system address book, personal address book and if required documents and junk lists
6. Click Advanced after finishing step 5
7. Select Retrive Tab and check mark all changes since last connected
8. Select Items tab, Size limits tab and folders tab and check the required options whichever is applicable or needed.
9. Click Finish.
If the above does not help, uninstall and reinstall the GroupWise Client

Notes:
The issue can be faced if IP Address of the server with GroupWise database is changed OR if GroupWise is moved from one server to another with different IP Address
