Situation
On November 6, 2008 Lumension Security released a revision "C" to SP1 (SP1c) which resolves a minor installation issue with SP1. Users who have already installed SP1 do not need to install SP1c.

Update Server automatically will create system groups based on IP Address to identify machines by network segment or location. - Unmanaged Device Grouping
Update Server automatically assigns machines to a new system group called “Ungrouped” for devices that are not assigned to a custom group which allows Administrators to quickly identify assets that are not assigned to a management group. - Drag-and-Drop Grouping
New AJAX Web Control that allows the Administrator to move a custom group by dragging the group to a parent or child group. - Increased support for Mac
Added support for Apple's latest operating system Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) which includes a graphical installer for all Mac supported platforms.

Resolution
Novell has provided two methods of delivery for Service Pack 1:

B - Novell ZENworks Patch Managment Update Server 6.4 Service Pack 1 | This patch is designed to be deployed from the ZPM Update Web Management Console. Locate this patch from the Vulnerabilities Page to schedule your deployment. Note : Patch must be installed manually by an Administrator or equivalent rights. After deployment, the patch will be located in the System Temp directory. |
Novell ZENworks Patch Management Update Server 6.4 Service Pack 1.msi | This patch can be download and manually installed by an Administrator or equivalent rights. Click here to download. |
- Download Novell ZENworks Patch Management Update Server 6.4 Service Pack 1.msi onto the Update Server.
- Open up command prompt and type, "net stop w3svc /y " to stop the world wide web publishing service.
- Download the ZPM 6.4 Service Pack 1 - Pre Install.exe onto the Update Server.
- Double-click on the Update Server SP1 - Pre Install.exe and proceed through the dialogues. When finished continue to the next step.
- Double-click on the ZPM 6.4 Service Pack 1.MSI to start the installer.
- ZENworks Patch Management Update Server 6.4 Service Pack 1 can not be un-installed. It can only be re-applied.
SP1 is applicable to the following ZPM Update Server versions:
- Update Server 6.4 RTM (v6.4.2.1326)
- Update Server 6.4 P2 (v6.4.2.1336)
- Update Server 6.4 Cumulative Hotfix Build 19 or higher

In addition to the failure, the Replication Service will disappear from the list of Windows Services and the agents will no longer connect.
- Stop the Replication Service manually before applying Update Server 6.4 Service Pack 1.
- If a failure occurred, remove the Update Server 6.4 Service Pack 1 log file before re-attempting using the following CMD prompt command from the root of the drive (e.g., C:\):
del /s /q patch1.log
