Situation

The GroupWise 7 MSI is not aware of GroupWise add-on extensions in Windows Explorer
Cannot right-click on a file and select "Send to GroupWise Recipient" after upgrading to GW 7 via MSI.

Resolution

Fixed in Novell GroupWise 7 SP1 or newer. It is also recommended to use ZENworks 7 SP1 or newer due to fixes included in ZEN 7 SP1 that make the GroupWise 7 SP1 MSI work better being distributed via ZENworks. Other workarounds to this issue are:
  1. Install the GroupWise add-ons manually by going to the GW 7 SP1 CD client\win32\addons\gwmailto directory and type: install /install /reset /silent.
  2. Create a ZENworks Application for gwmailto and distribute the application via Novell Application Launcher (NAL).
