Situation
Contacting Server message appears to hang after registering through Novell Customer Center
Registration process appears to hang for several minutes, but the system appears it is actually looking for patches.
Resolution
The registration process is not actually hung. An enhancement request has been submitted to Novell Engineering to add a process dialog so that the current process is displayed to the user.
Additional Information
While registering suse_register adds 3 services to ZMD. nu.novell.com, nvidia and ati. Without completing addition for one service, ZMD will not add another service. So suse_register has to wait for all 3 service addition to finish
completely.
