ZENworks Patch Management 6.2 - ZPM
Situation
Can push out
the test and diagnostic package, but no other packages or
install files.
ERROR:
Notify inventory change returned : Error(6). Description:Error is seen
in the Application Event logs and PatchLink Update

Resolution
1. Make sure you have the appropriate number of server licenses.
- Microsoft Windows Server requires a license per connection, so if there are 50 workstations with the ZPM agent installed, 50 licenses are needed on the Windows Server. Please contact your Microsoft Licensing Representative to determine the number of licenses that are needed.
2. If there are problems pushing out the test and diagnostic package, but not any updates, or install files. Go to the affected workstation, and download / install the latestWindows Scriptprogram from Microsoft, the deployments should go through successfully:
