Environment
Novell Access Management 3 Access Administration
Access Manager 3 Interim Release 2
Situation
Customer tried using uninstall option #3 (forceful uninstall) to
clean up and remove all pieces of NAM, and it did not work. Neither
the JCC directory structure (/opt/novell/devman/jcc) nor the RPM
definition were removed when the forceful uninstall ran.
When the product install is run using the install option 1, it says that it is installing the Access Manager communication (JCC), but it never succeeds. Deleting the various Access Manager directories (/opt/novell/*, /var/novell/*, /opt/volera/*, /etc/novell/*, /etc/opt/novell/*) and rerunning the installation again it, the jcc directory never gets recreated. Because the jcc remains there, the keystore files in the /conf directory are related to the old installation and hence JCC will never operate successfully.
