What is the Middle Tier Janitor Interval?
What does the Middle Tier value of Janitor Interval in nsadmin do?

Resolution

The Janitor Interval is the amount of time that will pass before the Janitor process is kicked off for the Middle Tier. The Janitor process does some clean up/housekeeping actions on the Middle Tier, including aging out old and inactive connections.

The Janitor Interval value is stored in Hex, and is a default of 320 (or 800 seconds) on NetWare, and 4B0 (or 1200 seconds) on Linux.

The default values have been optimized for the Middle Tier, and should only be changed under direction from Novell.
