Situation

Need to install GDB on Solaris to analyze a core or use the novell-getcore script to gather a core bundle.

Resolution

GDB is included on the Solaris companion CD. It can be downloaded at http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/freeware/

DO NOT USE the one at sunfreeware.com as it has a pipes problem when loading a core.
