Message Management system.
How to set Access Control setting to allow messages only from
Postini and other hosted anti-spam solution server IP
addresses.
550 mail from rejected when the Anti-spam server attempts
connection with the GWIA.
Resolution
Hosted Anti-spam Solutions provide a front to the GroupWise
Internet Agent. The desired configuration allows
GWIA to accept a connection from the Anti-spam servers IP addresses
only.
Access control Exceptions for the GWIA to accept from Certain
IP addresses and reject all other connections can be set as
follows:
1) Edit the default class of server to prevent incoming
messages. This setting will prevent all SMTP connection
to the GWIA
2) Set exceptions and add the server IP addresses GWIA will
accept connections from (IE: hosted Anti-spam servers IP
addresses such with 64.18.1.* and 64.18.2.*.)
3) Add an exception to allow mail from the following:
"This is the setting needed for the GWIA to also allow the
sender names in the "mail from:") field during the SMTP
communication."
