ZENworks 10 Configuration Management
Situation
After
using ZCC to change the command line parameters for
a network delivered MSI bundle, the defaults are put
back.
From Bundles
screen: Edit Action - Install Network MSI - Install
Parameters - Change Command Line Parameters, change from /qb to
something else. Select OK then change screens and come
back. Changes were not "sticky".
Resolution
Upload the MSI to
the ZCC server instead of using the UNC path to distribute the
bundle as a Network MSI.
This will take longer to upload and package the MSI initially, but then it distributes it directly from the ZENworks 10 server instead of from the network location. Editing the parameters of a standard MSI bundle will preserve the settings.
