Situation
Automatic imaging
worked before upgrading to ZfD 6.5. After the upgrade, no work to
do is found.
Automatic imaging stops working after 6.5 upgrade
[RAD] Error -603, "zenimgImagingService", "" can
be seen in the ZIMGDBG.LOG. See KB 3112868 for instructions
on how to enable debug logging for imaging.

Resolution
If this
object is missing (whether it was deleted or never created),
reinstall the 6.5 imaging component on this server.
If post 6.5
hot patches have been applied to this server, re-apply the patch
again after re-installing the 6.5 imaging component.
If
post 7 SP1 hot patches have been applied to this server,
re-apply the patch again after re-installing the 7
SP1 imaging component.
If this
object exists, make sure that the other
tab of the -ZIS object has a zenimgImagingServer
attribute that points to the server object.
Make sure that the
other tab of the server object has a zenimgImagingService attribute
that points to the -ZIS object.
If the-ZIS object does not exist, it may have been
deleted. Reinstall imaging on this server.
Additional Information
The-ZIS object did not get created by the
install.
Starting with ZfD 6.5, the install should create an object in the server's context called-ZIS. This is the
ZENworks Imaging Service object, which is used to read eDirectory
during automatic imaging tasks. Not only should the object get
created by the install... but it should also be referenced in the
server object's zenimgImagingService attribute. Also, the other tab
of the -ZIS object should have a
zenimgImagingServer attribute that points to the server
object.
