Situation

DS.NLM fails to load with error: "Error initializing function at(5), E"

Resolution

Recreate the NICI key with the following steps:

1. Copy ########.NFK from the license directory on the license diskette to SYS:\SYSTEM\nicifk (Note: nicifk is the name of the file, not a directory).
2. Remove XMGR*.* from SYS:\SYSTEM\NICI and SYS:\_NETWARE.
3. Verify that the .XLM files in C:\NWSERVER are the correct versions.
4. Restart the server.


Additional Information

NICI is not loading correctly, which causes DS.NLM to fail, because it is dependant on NICI.
