Dell mirroring fails when using proxy and no system DNS

Situation

Unable to mirror from Dell ("dell" type server) using proxy and with no DNS configured in the machine (proxy server should resolve addresses on behalf of the user).
This can be reproduced by configuring proxy in your mirror conf file, for instance:

http://ftp.dell.com
http://proxyuser:secret@192.168.0.1:8080
dell



... and by removing any DNS configuration in the OS.
Trying to mirror this way gives the error:
Error: java.net.UnknownHostException: ftp.dell.com
(java.net.UnknownHostException: ftp.dell.com)
com.novell.zenworks.zlmmirror.server.MirrorServerException:
java.net.UnknownHostException: ftp.dell.com

Resolution

Fixed in ZLM 7.2 Hot Patch 2.To obtain early access to a hot patch with the fix for this problem, Send an email to zen.feedback@novell.com with the subject of "ZLM7.2 Hot Patch". An email reply will be sent with instructions on how to obtain the hot patch.
