Situation
On some
Linux installations, collectors do not send events to the
collector-manager. Collector start/stop event is sent but no real
events are shown either in Data Base or console. The debugger will
show that collector is parsing events.
Resolution
The localhost definition is not set to Loopback addresses in the /etc/network or /etc/hosts file. Connector can not establish connection if the localhost line is not set.
