Error -622 when logging into iManager 2.x

Situation

Universal Password policy assigned to the user has been configured to "Remove the NDS Password when setting the Universal Password"
Error -622 when logging into iManager 2.x

Resolution

iManager 2.x running on a server (i.e. NetWare) is not Universal Password aware. It requires the NDS password in order to authenticate any given user. You will need to log into iManager with a user that still has a valid NDS password and edit the Universal Password policy so that the option to "Remove the NDS password when setting the Universal Password" is unchecked.

If you cannot log in with any user into a server-based instance of iManager, you can download iManager Workstation (a.k.a. Mobile iManager) from https://download.novell.com and use it from a workstation that has the NMAS client installed. If the NMAS client is installed, iManager Workstation is Universal Password aware and will authenticate the user via NMAS. Remember that once the option to "Remove the NDS password" has been disabled, the Universal Password will need to be reset in order for the password to synchronize with the NDS password.
