Situation
Upgrading from:
OES1 SP2 with eDir 8.7.3.7 to OES2 and eDir 8.8 SP2
IDM 3.5.0 also installed
IDM 3.5.0 also installed
During the upgrade, we got at the point of a successful DIB upgrade and then, NDSD would try to reload but cored when a DXML event would call for the NCP server.
Resolution
After we removed the DIRXMLBase.rpm NDSD loaded successfully however, at this point the install had not finished and we had to manually move the DIB and edit the NDS.conf file.
Additional Information
At the beginning of the install, we had checked the box to remove any unmanaged packages. The warning box that followed gave a conformation that unmanaged packages would be deleted and even gave the example of "Identity Manager" being removed but, IDM rpm's were not removed as expected.
