Environment

Novell ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management Support Pack 2 - ZDM6.5 SP2 Application Launcher (NAL)
Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management - ZDM7 Application Launcher (NAL)

Situation

If you go into the Availability Tab -> Edit Legacy Settings and choose to add a registry key, the "Value does not exist" radio button on the value field will not stay selected.
  1. Run ConsoleOne 1.3.6 with ZENworks 6.5SP2 snapins
  2. Open an application object to the Availability Tab -> Edit Legacy Settings
  3. Click on Add -> Registry ...
  4. Enter something in the Registry key and the Value
  5. Check the Radio Button "Value does not exist" and then Ok.
  6. Look at the screen that shows the summary of the list. It says exists
  7. Modify that rule and you will see that it got set back to "Value exists"

Resolution

For ZDM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 with SP1 Desktop Management, available athttps://download.novell.com
For ZDM6.5 SP2: fixed in ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management SP2 IR1 or newer found athttps://download.novell.com

As a workaround, leave the radio button on "Exists", then go down to the section for Value, and enter some value, then go back and click the "Does not exist" radio button. The value you entered will be grayed out, but when you click OK, the "Does not exist" setting will be there, it will not have reverted to "exists"
