Error (8210) on Inbound Internet Message and Messages queuing up in the DSNhold directory

Situation

Inbound messages are being marked as BAD and placed in Problem directory
Error 8210: Cannot Create Directory displayed in log
Messages queuing up in the dsnhold directory.

Resolution

Found that there was an extremely large accumulation of files in the dsnhold directory. After renaming the directory structure, the gateway recreated the dsnhold directory and began processing messages properly.
We have also found 0 byte files stuck in the receive directory. After renaming the receive directory and restarting the GWIA, messages were no longer backing up in the dsnhold directory.
