Situation
Only opening an Approval Flow Provisioning Request Definition (prd)
from the Navigator View in the TextEditor and making a change will
not mark the prd as being modified according to the deployer.
The file will be marked as "modified" and require a save to
proceed. However, the prd will not be able to deployed from
the Designer to the eDirectory Server because the deployer will see
the prd in the Designer as being equal to the one on the eDirectory
Server.
Resolution
This is a bug with the current releases of the Designer for Novell
Identity Manager. Development is taking this bug under
consideration to be addressed in a future release of the Designer
for Novell Identity Manager.
The workaround is to make a change to this same Approval Flow Provisioning Request Definition within the Provisioning Request Definition Editor. This will allow the deployer to see the prd in the Designer as not being equal to the one on the eDirectory Server. Which will allow the modified prd to be deployed.
This has been fixed in Designer 2.0.
