Linux devices are not rolled up in to the ZENworks legacy Inventory database

Situation

When NIC bonding is enabled , the Inventory Scanner is not able to collect the MAC address of that device. For these devices an Inventory Rollup will fail.

In the logfile /var/opt/novell/log/zenworks/loader-messages.log the following error message comes up:

DEBUG: [10/12/06 3:37:01 PM] Loader.Inventory Rollup Error: wsName attribute is NULL

ERROR: [10/12/06 3:37:01 PM] Loader.Inventory Rollup Novell.Zenworks.Inventory.DEVICE_STR_FAILURE The conversion of Deviceinfo to STR format is failed.
