64-bit ZEN Asset Management client failing to install completely.

Environment

Novell ZENworks 7 Asset Management - ZAM7 Service Pack 1
ZENworks Asset Management - Remote Client Install

Situation

ERROR: Program Cannot Start or Run: The program or Feature"\??\C:\Program Files (x86)\Novell\ZENworks\Asset Management\Bin\DMIMIB20.EXE cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.

Resolution

Fixed in ZENworks Asset Management 7 Interim Release xx or newer
Interim Releases can be scheduled to run automatically or can be downloaded manually at https://download.novell.com/patch/finder The Interim releases can be set up within the ZAM Manager for the Task server to check the site on a scheduled basis, and download and apply them automatically. Please refer to the Help Section details of how to set up automatic downloads if desired.
Each interim release is cumulative. If Interim Release xx is not available due to a newer interim release being placed on the website, be assured that the code needed is in the later release.

Workaround: Install a fresh install of ZAM 7 sp1 not from an upgrade and copy the FileStore\Setup\Client directory to the workstation to run the install.
