Novell eDirectory 8.8 Support Pack 2 for All Platforms
Situation
- LDAP queries for"groupmembership" attribute are extremely slow on Novell eDirectory
88 Support Pack 2 compared to older versions of Novell eDirectory
in the same tree.
- The eDirectory 88 SP2 server has Presence and Value indices on the groupmembership attribute.
- From eDirectory traces with RECM (Recman, Storage Manager), LDAP and TIME tags, it appears that the query is passed on very quickly to the eDirectory database engine (FLAIM) and that index determination for the query is also fast. However, the query still takes a long time to process.
