Environment

Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES) Support Pack 2 Linux

Situation

Trying to upgrade an OES Linux SP2 with the latest patches.

The command 'rug pin --entire-channel oes' results in the error:

Patch transaction failed: Insufficient disk space: 3.05g needed in /

Resolution

patch-11371 contains a new red-carpet, rcd and rug, which solves this issue.

Install with:

# rug pin Patch-11371
# /etc/init.d/rcd restart
# rug refresh

Then do the upgrade again:

# rug pin --entire-channel oes
