eDirectory is not using openslp to resolve service names

Environment

Novell eDirectory 8.8sp1 for Windows
Novell eDirectory 8.8sp2 for Windows
Novell eDirectory 8.8sp3 for Windows

Situation

Repair network address cannot find the network address, even though openslp is properly configured.

Resolution

The workaround is to install the Novell Client on the windows server, use the hosts file, or DNS to resolve the name services. Use the NCP server object CN instead of the server hostname.

This issue has been resolved in eDirectory 8.8.5 which is available for download at https://download.novell.com
