Situation
Attempts to modify multiple
attributes on any object (a user object, for instance) using the"Modify Object" task under "Directory Administration" role, are
successful.However, LAN
traces reveal that every modification is treated like a separate
transaction and the number of ResolveName and ModifyEntry requests
are equal to the number of attributes modified. Normally, all the
ResolveName and ModifyEntry requests can be completed in a single
iteration.
Problem is observed with
Novell iManager 2.6 Maintenance Update 4 as well. It can also be
observed with a custom plugin developed with Plugin
Studio.
Resolution
The issue has been reported
to Engineering and is under investigation. There is currently no
workaround possible.However, no functionality is affected
because of this issue.
