Resolution
When updating an existing GroupWise
7 system, this is working as designed. There is no update needed.
The software has been updated in an earlier step. You can close the
installation script and check with rcgrpwise status is GroupWise is
running.
Additional Information
When you start the install script
for updating an existing GroupWise System, several steps are being
performed:
- Select "Create or update a GroupWise system".
- You have to accept the licenses agreement.
- You need to select a software distribution directory. If this is an update, you will have already created a software distribution directory on the system. You need to select this directory!!!! If you create a new system, you need to create a directory.
- Select the components running on this Linux server. You will get a warning if the installation routine discovers that there are more components installed then you have selected. You need to update all components of GroupWise to the same version.
- Now you have to select if youwant to create a new system or update an existing system. When you
select to update a existing system, you need to enter the domain
directory. The installation procedure will check which version the
domain is and if this is GroupWise 7, the installation will stop,
because there is nothing to do. If this is an older system, the
next steps are being displayed. If you select to create a new
GroupWise system, ConsoleOne will be started and you will be guided
to the creation of a new system.
