Auxiliary data, files which are marked as Read Only are not collected

Environment

Novell ZENworks 7.5 Asset Management - ZAM7.5

Situation

1.Configure the option set to collect files for example winnt\system32\auditlog.txt
2.Mark this file local on the file as Read Only
3.Start collection
RESULTS: the file is not collected, the following error comes up in the ColSvrCoreEvent.log:
Collector Info in GatherFiles::File not found at 24/10/2006 by SYSTEMFile Not Gathered [2.1.1056] The file named 'c:\winnt\system32\auditlog.txt' was not gathered because it could not be found.

Resolution

Fixed in ZAM 7.5 IR1 or newer

Interim Releases can be scheduled to run automatically or can be downloaded manually at https://download.novell.com/. The Interim releases can also be set up within the ZAM Manager for the Task server to check the site on a scheduled basis, and download and apply them automatically. Please refer to the Help Section for details of how to set up automatic downloads if desired.

Each interim release is cumulative. If Interim Release 1 is not available due to a newer interim release being placed on the website, be assured that the code needed is in the later release.
