Novell iPrint for Linux Open Enterprise Server Support Pack 2
Situation
Going to http://[IPorDNSofiPrintServer]/PsmStatus returns Error 500
after the prompt to authenticate.
Cause:
When the Print Manager name and context exceeds 40 characters, then a buffer problem can exist. For example, the following Print Manager name may experience this problem:
MyLinuxPrintManager.MyOrganization.Org
This Print Manager name will not experience the problem:
MyLinuxPrintManager.MyOrg.Org
The number of characters to count include the Print Manager name, organization names, and organization.

Resolution
Update the Linux OES Server using Red Carpet.
Or, download the updated iPrint RPM (novell-iprint-server-5.1.20061109-3.i586.rpm) from here.
Restart the Driver Store and Print Manager after installing the updated RPM.

Workaround:
Shorten the name of the Print Manager and/or create the Print Manager closer to the root of the Tree Organization so the number of characters is below 40.
Or, download the updated iPrint RPM (novell-iprint-server-5.1.20061109-3.i586.rpm) from here.
Restart the Driver Store and Print Manager after installing the updated RPM.
