Environment

NDPS 2.0
Novell NetWare 5.1
Novell NetWare 6.0
Novell NetWare 6.5
NDPSM.NLM

Situation

NDPSM.NLM does not completely load on the server.
NDPS Manager on the server is waiting for user input as to where the NDPS Manager object is located in Directory Services.
NDPS Manager will not load via the AUTOEXEC.NCF file. Gets NDPSM Error: -634 on server.
Can manually load NDPSM once server is completely up.
NDPSM" error -603 attempting to read the local volume name" on the server that the broker resides on.

Resolution

Instead of using the following line in the AUTOEXEC.NCF, "Load NDPSM ".", try"Load NDPSM ""
Suggest adding a '?' to the following line in the AUTOEXEC.NCF,"Load NDPSM ".". This will cause a 10 second delay before it tries to load.
That fixed the -634 error.
From Server Console - VIa NWconfig | Directory Options | Upgrade mounted volumes into the Directory.
Send the following Nlist text files to Tech Support Engineer for review

NLIST "NDPS Manager" /R /S /C /D >C:\MANAGER.TXT
NLIST "NDPS Broker" /R /S /C /D >C:\BROKER.TXT
NLIST "NDPS Printer" /R /S /C /D >C:\PRINTER.TXT
NLIST "Server" /R /S /C /D >C:\SERVER.TXT
NLIST "Volume" /R /S /C /D >C:\VOLUME.TXT
The results from NLIST - [Root] does not have read rights to the"Host Resource Name" property and the "Host Server" property.
Give [Root] read access to the "host server" and the "volume" property. This fixed the -603 errors.
