Microsoft hotfixes needed for every iPrint client workstation

Novell iPrint Client for Windows


Novell recommends that every Windows 2000 SP4 and XP SP2 workstation running the iPrint client have two Microsoft hotfixes applied. Applying these hotfixes is a prerequisite to contacting Novell Technical Services with any iPrint client problem.


1) Install Microsoft hotfix KB 884897 - Missing print features

2) Install the Microsoft hotfix KB 893225 - Slow print performance

Additional Information

When troubleshooting iPrint problems, Novell Technical Services sometime recommends getting an ipptrace.txt file. How to do this is documented in TID 10064594. I

When the hotfixes are properly installed, the ipptrace.txt file will look similar to the following:
