Resolution
An easy way to automate the installation of an inf file is to use a
freeware utility such as called Infstaller. Infstaller
is available from
http://leeos.com/infstaller.html
Assuming you want to install the inf without any user input (or opportunity for user input) after you have downloaded and extracted Infstaller,
- unzip infast.zip and copy infast.exe to the directory containing the inf file.
- run infast.exe. This will launch the inf file the same as if you had right clicked on it and chosen "Install."
The readme that comes with infstaller has good instructions.
