Situation
Clients using contextless login were not able to login during heavy
login or peak login time
Users were not prompted with Tree context during heavy login or peak login time
Novell Clients were configured to use contextless login.
Prior to upgrading to eDirectory 8.8 SP2, the servers were running eDirectory 8.8 SP1 and never experience this problem.
While users were experiencing the problem, the following was observed in the NWMON.NLM.
Under the "eDirectory DIB Lock Information" the "edir verb" was consistanlty DSAUpdateRepli (DSAUpdateReplica) and the lock time (shown in milliseconds) was greater than 180000 ms (3 min).
Note: The above information can also be seen from the nwmon.csv files generated by NWMON.NLM in the following directory. (sys:\system\nwmon\*)
