Environment
Novell Identity Manager 3.0
Novell Identity Manager 3.5
Novell Identity Manager - Remote Loader
Novell Identity Manager Driver - Core Fan Out
Situation
When using the Fanout driver Configuration or Utilities plug-ins,
the Remote Loader service will stop which will unload the ASAMCDRV
process. This happens when running the Fanout Driver under
the Remote Loader.
Resolution
In iManager, in the Driver Parameters, make sure the "Remote
Loader Driver” parameter is set to true. This parameter is under
Driver Settings; it is different than the "Connect to Remote
Loader” option. If this parameter isn't set the remote loader
process will abort sporadically with no core. If you are
running a fanout driver from a version earlier than 311, the option
may not exist. This will also cause the problem. In
this case, a new fanout driver created from a new 311 fanout
pre-config should be used. You may also copy the missing
values from one driver to an older driver. However, the older
driver should be at least from IDM 3.0.1 and the modified driver
should be tested very carefully before putting into
production.
