Novell Identity Manager iManager Plug-ins
Situation
The IDM plug-ins sometimes do not handle the user's default server being a non-IDM server. In general, the plug-ins perform operations on the default iManager server and then wait for changes to replicate to the target server. If the default server does not contain a writeable replica of the configuration being administered, the plug-ins fail.
Resolution
Login to the specific server that's associated with (or will be associated with) the driver set being managed. To ensure this, when logging into iManager, you'll want to specify a specific server's IP as the tree rather than using just a tree name. Otherwise iManager will just pick a server as your default server in the later case.
