Situation
Even though communication between the Linux servers and the other servers in the tree seems to be working properly, in report synchronization status -625 errors are reported from the Linux sever's perspective to some of the other non-Linux servers.
Resolution
On the NetWare and Windows servers set the NCP Packet Signature
Option to 1.
On NetWare this can be done through Monitor, Server Parameters, NCP, NCP Packet Signature Option.
On Windows this can be done by stopping eDirectory and then setting the following line in the config.acs file on the Windows server:
[NCP Engine/Server State/Checksum Level] == 0x00000001
Also, if it exists, remove the config.acs.bak file before restarting eDirectory.
