ZENworks 7.5 Asset Management - ZAM7.5
Situation
Install the
64-bit client using the Remote Client Installer within the ZAM
Manager. When a scan is due to happen the ZAM collection client
will kick off the collector however the collector will fail and the
following error will be logged:
Program Cannot
Start of Run, The program of Feature "\??\C:\Program Files
(x86)\Novell\ZENworks\Asset Management\Bin\DMIMIB20.EXE" cannot
start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of
Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit
Windows compatible version is available.
Resolution
Fixed in ZAM
7.5 IR1 or newer
Interim Releases can be scheduled to run automatically or can be download manually at https://download.novell.com . The Interim releases can be set up within the ZAM Manager for the Task server to check the site on a scheduled basis, and download and apply them automatically. Please refer to the Help Section for details of how to set up automatic downloads if desired..
Each interim release is cumulative. If Interim Release 1 is not available due to a newer interim release being placed on the website, be assured that the code needed is in the later release.
