Managed Agent can't login after setting incorrect entries in additional DNS names

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management


Managed Agent login fails with standard error message.
ZENLGN.LOG shows additonal non-ZCM servers listed. For example:
ZENLGN [554-558] [16:29:47] Retrieved host names are:
ZENLGN [554-558] [16:29:47] zcmServer:443
ZENLGN [554-558] [16:29:47]
ZENLGN [554-558] [16:29:47] non-zcmServer:443
ZENLGN [554-558] [16:29:47] null:8443


The"Retrieved host names" in the client log correspond to the settings on ZCC Devices -> Servers -> Select Server object -> Settings -> Infrastructure Management -> Additional DNS Names
The agent will try to authenticate against the server's DNS set in these settings and if they are incorrect or don't resolve to the ZCM server, the login will fail. Correct these entries or remove them if they are not used.
