Error: "Unable to gain exclusive access" when merging domains

Environment

Novell ConsoleOne 1.3.6
Novell GroupWise 7 Support Pack 2
Novell GroupWise 7 Support Pack 2 Hot Patch 1

Situation

Using GroupWise 702, or 702HP, to merge domains returns the error "unable to gain exclusive access" for the to be merged domain. Doing the merge with GW701 snapins in ConsoleOne does not return the error.

Resolution

This has also been resolved with the GW703 snapins.
