Situation

Enabling SSL authentication gives error "Key id list is empty"
Key material object and the certificate authority where created in NDS without any errors.
NWAdmin takes a long time to open the Authentication Context option

Resolution

Run Nwadmin32 from the BorderManager server, which should show the correct snap-ins.

Adding an index for the Object Class attribute may also resolve this issue. To add an index for this attribute do the following in ConsoleOne.
  1. View the properties of the BorderManager server object.
    1. Browser to the server object in the tree.
    2. Right-click on the server object and select Properties.
  2. Select the Indexes tab.
  3. Add a new index for the Object Class attribute.
    1. Click the Add button on the right.
    2. Type the desired index name.
    3. Select the Object Class attribute from the drop-down list.
    4. Choose Value for the Rule.
    5. Click OK.
  4. Click Apply or OK to finish the creation of the new index.
After completing this process it should be possible to select an SSL certificate from the Key ID drop-down list.
